The crew of HMS Trumpeter, a small but mighty P2000 patrol vessel, are now enjoying a major perk thanks to a generous £650 grant from the NAAFI Fund. The grant was used to purchase a bean-to-cup coffee machine, a much-needed addition to the ship’s galley.

The new coffee machine is already a hit with the crew “We never thought it would be possible to get something like this for us on a small Ship that doesn’t have the same funding as a larger Ship, it’s great to have a coffee and warm up when its -10C!”

“Trumpeter’s Ship’s Company are really grateful for NAAFI’s support, it has allowed us to have some home comforts, which on a front line unit is really important – looking after morale ensures that we get the best from our sailors and they can deliver when it matters most!” another sailor said.

The crew of HMS Trumpeter are now able to enjoy fresh coffee while sailing through the beautiful Norwegian Fjords. This is a great example of how the NAAFI Fund is helping to improve the lives of our UK Armed Forces personnel.
