NAAFI Fund Grant Transforms RAF Sqn Balcony into a Peaceful Haven

32 (The Royal) Squadron at RAF Northolt has received a Β£5,500 grant from the NAAFI Fund to revitalise their tired balcony social space. The funds were used to purchase durable furniture and lavish plants, transforming the outdoor area into a peaceful and inviting retreat for Squadron and Operations personnel.Β

The balcony, previously underutilised, now offers a serene setting for relaxation, informal meetings, and social gatherings. The new furniture and greenery create a calming atmosphere, providing a much-needed break from the demands of military life.Β

The NAAFI Fund grant has not only enhanced the physical space but also boosted morale and improved the overall well-being of the squadron members. By investing in this project, the NAAFI Fund has demonstrated its commitment to supporting the welfare of Armed Forces personnel.Β

Squadron Leader Tom Woods, said β€œThis project, which was entirely funded by NAAFI, has revitalised the balcony area on 32 (The Royal) Squadron. With previously untapped views across the airfield, it’s now a relaxing outdoor space for work and social activity for all personnel at RAF Northolt. Without the support from the NAAFI Fund, this simply would not have been possible.”
