Wales University Officers’ Training Corps Showcase New Identity Thanks to a £12,300 NAAFI Fund Grant
09/01/2026

At the NAAFI Fundwe are deeply committed to investing in the next generation of service personnel, ensuring they have the tools and the confidence to lead with excellence. That’s why we are thrilled to spotlight a recent grant of £12,300 awarded to the Wales University Officers’ Training Corps (WUOTC) for ‘Project Athena’—an initiative dedicated to unifying and empowering the Officer Cadets of today into the leaders of tomorrow.

Named after the Greek goddess of wisdom and courage, Project Athena is about more than just gym gear. It’s a mission to improve the lived experience, morale, and cohesion of Officer Cadets and staff across the entire length and breadth of Wales.

Thanks to the NAAFI Fund grant, the Project Lead was able to kit out the unit with a massive haul of high-quality gear:

  • 300 Performance T-shirts
  • 300 Lifestyle T-shirts
  • 300 Pairs of Shorts
  • Bonus Gear: Because it was such a huge order, their supplier Print Inc even threw in some free bobble hats and accessories!

Whether they are training in Cardiff, Swansea, Bangor, or anywhere in between, the WUOTC will be instantly recognisable, showcasing a unified team spirit and the NAAFI Fund’s support with every mile run.

Bravo, WUOTC! Stay fit, stay focused, and wear that kit with pride.
