We directly give back to local units to enhance their everyday lives. This money is generated from retail and hospitality surpluses, serving as a good demonstration of where the money goes. Our Welfare Returns mechanism ensures that the personnel and communities that use NAAFI facilities around the world directly benefit.
Welfare Returns
In 2024, NAAFI proudly contributed over £104,000 to local garrisons across five of our locations around the world. Serving personnel that use our facilities in Ascension Island, Brunei, Germany, Falkland Islands and Poland know that with every cuppa or meal they purchase, the surpluses in our retail and hospitality areas will directly be returned to their communities.
NAAFI in Germany were delighted to donate £54,477 to their local garrisons last year. This significant funding was generated through sales at our Germany locations including Sennelager, Athlone, Ayshire, Minden Rooms and through NAAFI Wagons.
NAAFI also provided Welfare Returns in Brunei (£19,273), Falkland Islands (£15,000), Poland (£10,000) and Ascension Island (£6,000).
