The NAAFI Fund recently approved a £8,200 grant to 29 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps to build a brand new garden area.

29 Regiment RLC Commanding Officer said, “I am incredibly thankful to the NAAFI for the funding they have provided in support of the creation of a Coronation garden. With no communal garden on site before this was created, the soldiers and families of the DoG Barracks were limited in where they could socialise, conduct activities, or just sit and reflect. This new space, created utilising NAAFI funding, has supported the creation of something that is already, and will continue to support the thousands of soldiers and their families that will work on this camp over the years to come.”

Reverend Jacob Caldwell, Senior Chaplain of Duke of Gloucester Barracks, thanked NAAFI for the funding, stating, “The grant enabled us to breathe new life into the grounds adjacent to the Church. The soldiers created a ‘Coronation Garden’ to commemorate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Now that the project is complete, our people are incredibly proud of what has been achieved. The Coronation Garden will promote the mental health and well-being of all. Without the NAAFI Fund grant, this would not have been possible. To all the people at NAAFI, a heartfelt thank-you!”
