Exciting news – NAAFI has recently taken over operations delivering Soft Services across the Middle East including sites in Bahrain, Oman and the UAE.

The beginning of May 2024 saw the launch of NAAFI Bahrain and first up were our laundry and cleaning facilities opening bright and early at 5.30am.

Starting as we mean to go on, the catering team held ‘A Taste of Home’ themed night with all the trimmings you would expect – Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings, Fish and Chips and Toad in the Hole, complete with Victoria Sponge and Trifle for dessert!

Shortly after, we opened a temporary coffee shop while we continued work refurbishing our new retail store and hospitality lounge. The coffee shop was later finished, now looking completely different and much more modern!

Later that month and over in Oman, NAAFI launched a full range of services including catering and laundry facilities; check out this amazing cake our kitchen team created on opening night!

In June, our refurbished retail store in Bahrain was ready to go, offering a wide range of goods such as popular British groceries, food-to-go products, toiletries, clothing and more.

Shortly followed by our refurbished pub in July, just in time for the Euros! Both facilities are a reflection of what our other global facilities provide for deployed UK personnel, offering a true taste of home wherever they are.
