Things To Do in Scarborough…
Overlooked by a historic 12th century castle, the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough is located on the shores of England’s North Sea. With stunning scenery and plenty of days out to be had, it’s the perfect place to visit with family and explore the area.
If you’re visiting for the first time, take a trip to one of North Yorkshire’s most exceptional historical sites, Scarborough Castle. Steeped in over 3000 years of history, the fortress held strong during attacks from Vikings, barons, Tudor rebels and a Parliamentary army.
Take in chart-topping tunes on your trip by visiting Scarborough Open Air Theatre, the largest of its kind in Europe! Reopened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 2010, upcoming concerts include Elton John, Jessie J, Status Quo and Anne-Marie, with plenty of other stars heading to the seaside resort in the coming months.
If you’re visiting Scarborough in-season, Peasholm Park is the perfect destination for all the family. Voted the sixth-best park in the UK and 25th best park in the whole of Europe in the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Awards, the oriental-themed park boasts beautiful scenery including streams, waterfalls and boats to hire!
If you’re feeling peckish on your day out, visit NAAFI Cafe in the heart of the town on Newborough Street.
