On Thursday 10th July, NAAFI was proud to cheer on the British Army Men’s Water Polo team as they triumphed over the Royal Navy to win this year’s Inter-Services Championships.
The Army team’s journey to victory began with a dominant 19-11 win against the RAF on Monday. They carried this momentum into Thursday’s final, where they faced a strong Royal Navy side.
The game started with the Navy taking an early 4-point lead, but the Army responded with incredible resilience. They battled back to secure a decisive lead, ultimately winning the championship with a final score of 18-13. The team’s determination and unwavering spirit were a true testament to their training and teamwork.
Just days before their championship victory, the team visited the NAAFI Head Office in Fareham. They were given a sneak peek of our new NAAFI Wagons and enjoyed a well-deserved coffee break and team photos at our lakeside coffee shop, The Bridge Deck.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the British Army Men’s Water Polo team on their well-deserved win! We look forward to continuing our support for their success.
