Army Welfare Service at the Ministry of Defence Stafford are celebrating a fantastic boost, thanks to a generous Β£3,000 grant from the NAAFI Fund. This funding has allowed them to replace old toys, replenish essential supplies like arts and crafts, and even introduce exciting new activities for the community!Β
With the NAAFI Fund’s support, the Army Welfare Service have been able to upgrade their equipment, ensuring that their weekly community activities are always fresh and engaging. From classic board games to modern sensory toys, they’ve got something for everyone.Β
One of the highlights of their recent purchases is the addition of sports equipment such as golf sets, boxing pads and gloves, and archery kits. These activities are not only fun, but also provide excellent opportunities for young people to stay active and develop essential skills.Β
The SEND group has also benefited significantly from the NAAFI Fund. Sensory toys and a welcoming environment have created a safe and inclusive space for families with children who may struggle in mainstream activities.Β
The new resources and equipment have been warmly welcomed by their community. When people arrive at the facility, they are greeted with a clean, inviting space filled with high-quality toys and activities. This sense of care and investment is essential for fostering a strong community spirit.Β
The weekly activities they offer are vital for mitigating the effects of service life on military families. By providing a fun and supportive environment, they can help to strengthen relationships and promote positive outcomes.Β
They are incredibly grateful to the NAAFI Fund for their generous support. The contribution has made a real difference in the lives of the community members.Β
Project Sponsor, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Nigel Hoyle said βThe NAAFI Fundβs generous grant is appreciated at a time when funds and financial support are limited and need to be prioritised, for this, MOD Stafford are truly grateful to the NAAFI Fund for their support. Thank You.βΒ
