NAAFI Unveils All-New Sustainable Wagons for the Armed Forces!

Introducing the new-look NAAFI Wagons; delivering a fresh, sustainable upgrade to a trusted Forces favourite.
25/11/2025

NAAFI Wagons have been an ever-present on the frontline for a century, bringing a much-needed taste of home for UK Armed Forces personnel wherever duty takes them. The Wagons proudly represent connection, comfort and a familiar taste of home, whilst providing hot drinks, snacks and retail options for those who need it most.

We’re delighted to introduce the new era of NAAFI Wagons, produced in partnership with iForm, the new fleet blend a century of tradition with the very best in modern, sustainable design.

The All-New NAAFI Wagon

Each Wagon is made from over 4,000 plastic bottles, ensuring our famous mobile retailing units are contributing towards our sustainability pledge. No mission is impossible for the Wagons, and they are capable of supporting all types of missions, including field exercises, temporary base deployments, welfare support at isolated locations and military events.

A carefully selected design process saw a bold and sleek exterior adopted, alongside an interior centered around how our customers use the space. From early morning breakfast runs to late-night welfare visits on exercises and deployments.

The Wagons boast generous serving areas, improved storage and efficient equipment layouts to enable NAAFI staff to serve personnel quicker, reducing wait times and enhancing the experience and morale for everyone.

Forces personnel across the globe are already directly benefitting from the mobile taste of home units, in countries such as Germany, Estonia, Poland, Gibraltar and Ascension Island. Not forgetting the general public near The Bridge Deck and NAAFI’s Head Office in Whiteley, England.

Designed with Sustainability at the Heart

Each panel typically uses up to 98% recycled plastic, delivering exceptional strength, insulation and longevity, giving waste material a second life.

By working in partnership with a sustainable supplier, NAAFI reduces the demand for new materials, lowers embodied carbon emissions and supports a wider commitment to sustainable operations. The Wagons are energy-efficient, with high-performance insulation and carefully-selected equipment designed to minimise power usage, whether the vehicle is connected to a local supply or deployed in remote locations.

The new fleet of NAAFI Wagons are built to withstand every climate – from desert heat to cold winters, echoing the resilience of our wartime units.

Telling the Story with Millstream Productions

We teamed up with Hampshire based Millstream Productions to showcase the new Wagons in action in the summer of 2025. Experts in bringing real stories to life on film, Millstream captured the units in operation and showcased their vast capabilities.

The showcase film focuses on the welfare benefit of the Wagons; chats through the hatch and the quick stop for a delicious coffee; the everyday moments of connection that define NAAFI life.
