The Senne Arms: Investing In Our European Facilities

NAAFI is thrilled to announce the re-opening of the newly-refurbished 'The Senne Arms' in Sennelager, Germany.
22/09/2025

The Senne Arms has officially re-opened after undergoing a full refurbishment. This significant investment marks a major step in our strategy to redefine our on-site hospitality facilities, giving each a unique identity and reflecting on our ongoing commitment to military welfare investment.

A home away from home for UK Armed Forces in Sennelager

Our on-base hospitality facilities are vital – designed to feel like a home away from home for UK Armed Forces personnel whilst on deployment. They provide relaxed spaces for troops to connect with colleagues and friends off-duty and enjoy some well-deserved downtime. With its relaxed atmosphere, it’s a dedicated space to combat isolation and promote mental well-being.

It continues to be the go-to spot for socialising, hosting:

  • A range of fun events including karaoke and bingo
  • Monthly Sunday movie screenings, perfect for all the family
  • Live viewing of major sporting events and notable celebrations on the calendar

Supporting Local Garrisons: NAAFI Germany Welfare Returns

Our commitment extends beyond investments like The Senne Arms and as such, we are proud to return our surpluses back to the facilities that generate them. In 2025 alone, we donated £35,000 to garrisons in Germany, meaning those who use our facilities in Germany directly benefit from their purchases.

The Senne Arms: A Bespoke Identity

The new logo was developed in collaboration with Concorde BGW Group with a custom line drawing, matches our others around the world, and inspired by the iconic Sennelager windmill.  The striking green and yellow colour palette incorporates an authentic German pattern, designed to be welcoming and distinctive for the new facility.

Further Global Investments

Our new refurbishments don’t stop there. In early 2026, a brand-new facility in Diego Garcia will open its doors to support UK and US personnel stationed on the remote atoll. The NAAFI facility will serve up a wide range of delicious food and drinks as well as a bespoke bar and retail space offering a welcome haven, far from home. Stay tuned for more updates on the atoll!
