First Fusiliers Boxing Gym Gets a Knockout Punch from NAAFI Fund!

The First Fusiliers boxing gym in Tidworth has received a major upgrade thanks to a £5,000 grant from the NAAFI Fund! This is fantastic news for the soldiers who train there, allowing them to improve their fitness and skills in a top-notch facility.

The new gym will be a great place for soldiers to train together and build camaraderie. It will also be open to novice boxers, so anyone can come and learn the basics of the sport.

The gym is located in a fantastic place for soldiers to train and is easily accessible, with plenty of space for boxing equipment and training areas. The grant has been used to purchase new boxing equipment such as gloves, pads, and punching bags. It has also helped to renovate the gym space with a new TV and speaker, making a more comfortable and functional environment for training.

The new gym will make it even easier for soldiers to get involved in boxing and also means the Regiment can now invite other units to train alongside them.

Commanding Officer of First Fusiliers said “We are delighted to have received NAAFI funding in support of the refurbishment of the Boxing Gym. Boxing is at the heart of all sporting activity and to improve this facility for our soldiers to train is just brilliant. Not only does it improve fitness but concentrates on teamwork, courage and the will to win. We have the best coaches within our team who will welcome anyone who wishes to train to take part in competitions or simply to get fit in a great environment.”
