Mumong Patio Renovation Project

During Round 3 of the NAAFI Fund, £20,000 was awarded to Mumong in Brunei to transform their Patio Club into a hub for the local community.

The facility now has new inviting indoor and outdoor areas for personnel and their families to relax in with some much-needed down time.

The project provided comfy seating for adults and children and a refurbished BBQ area, ensuring there’s always time for tasty food in the Southeast Asia sunshine.

Project sponsor, Capt S Mercer, said: “After falling out of use, the Patio Bar has now become a fantastic hub for the community.

‘It’s now used daily with children using the splash pool and serving personnel relaxing by the bar. The family friendly setting is also used for a wide variety of functions.

‘The Mumong Patio Club’s revitalisation is a testament to the NAAFI Fund’s commitment to enriching the lives of military families. It’s a story of community spirit, resourceful transformation, and the joy of creating a space where laughter, relaxation, and connection thrive.”
