The 317 Joint Services Sub-Aqua Diving Club in Gibraltar is celebrating a fantastic boost thanks to a generous £3,285 grant from the NAAFI Fund. This funding has allowed them to purchase new diving equipment that meets specific regulations, ensuring that families posted to Gibraltar can fully enjoy the club’s recreational activities together.
Previously, families were unable to participate as a unit due to the limited availability of equipment suitable for adults and children. With the NAAFI Fund’s support, they’ve been able to address this issue, making diving accessible to everyone in the British Armed Forces community stationed in Gibraltar.
Diving is a fantastic way for families to bond, explore the underwater world, and create lasting memories. Their new equipment means that parents and children can now dive side-by-side, sharing the thrill of discovering the hidden treasures of Gibraltar’s coastline.
This project has not only benefited members but has also given the club a much-needed boost. With updated equipment, they’re now better equipped to attract new members and continue to provide top-notch diving experiences for years to come.
If you’re stationed in Gibraltar and looking for a fun and adventurous activity for the whole family, the 317 Joint Services Sub-Aqua Diving Club is the place to be. With their new equipment, they’re ready to welcome you to the underwater world!
A member of the 317 Joint Services Sub-Aqua Diving Club said “My son’s confidence in the water and diving ability has greatly improved since having equipment that fits him comfortably.”, whilst another added, “With the recent tightening of regulations at the border, having an adventurous activity that as a family we can participate in and relax has been fantastic”
