New rehabilitation facilities on HMS Sultan

New rehabilitation facilities on HMS Sultan

Towards the end of last year, HMS Sultan received a Β£13,000 NAAFI Fund grant to improve their primary care rehabilitation facilities. The funding has enhanced the facilities already on offer, with four new TVs, a PA system and presentation facility.

The upgrades allow lessons to be delivered and for the rowing and cycling programmes to be used on a one-to-one basis for recuperation. By enhancing the facilities we anticipate that patients will further engage with their rehab pathway, which will have a significant effect on the recovery and deployability of HMS Sultan personnel.

Surgeon Commander Charlotte Griffiths, HMS Sultan, Principal Medical Officer, commented: β€œThe upgrades made to the PCRF gym have allowed us to modernise our approaches to rehabilitation and provide a welcoming environment for our patients.”
