Paddleboards for 42 Commando

During Round 2, funding of £17,000 was awarded to 42 Commando for a new set of paddleboards for serving Marines of all levels to enjoy.

Based just outside of Plymouth, the regiment is one of three elite battalion sized units of specialist teams, ready to deploy around the world at any moment to deliver Maritime security, support, and training.

Personnel used the paddleboards to explore the eye-catching scenery of the Devonshire coast, boosting their welfare and increasing the team bonding between the unit.

Matt from the unit, said: “It has been amazing to take my children out on the paddleboards. There is a great abundance of kit for all ranges of paddleboard enthusiasts.”
