New Community Centre Facility in Italy

During Round 2, £15,000 was granted to improve the quality of life for personnel at the Community Centre Facility in Poggio Renatico, Italy.

The project included fulfilling the outdoor area’s potential by introducing artificial grass and rattan furniture for the perfect space to relax with a cocktail in the company of friends and family. A bright sports bar room was created to allow personnel to take a step back from daily duties to play pool, darts or watch sports on TV.

The Community Centre also bought ski lift passes and introduced a bike hire service, for personnel to explore the beautiful Italian surroundings.

Project sponsor, Martin Barry, said: “After a visit to the facility in 2020, I saw the potential for the space to become a hub for community events as it is a fantastic space.

‘The funding has transformed the facility into a modern, eye-catching space for people of all ages to enjoy. The cocktail bar is a trendy, relaxed area to enjoy conversations over a drink with friends and family.”
