During Round 3 of the NAAFI Fund, ยฃ6,000 was awarded to 901 Expeditionary Air Wing to transformย variousย communal areas in coalition accommodation.
Based in Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, Qatar, this projectโs aim was to improve the wellbeing of stationed troops with a range of entertainment options, from games consoles and TVโs to mountain bikesย andย helmets.
This projectย helped toย create a positive team ethos and increase social interaction among stakeholders, reducing isolation.
Project sponsor, Tanya Miller-Anderson, said: โThe funding from the NAAFI Fund has created a warm, relaxing environment for service personnel to enjoy their much-needed down time.
โThe refurbishment has ensured personnel with varying interests can enjoy their time off of work.โ
